Best pizza in Palermo

There's no sign and usually a long wait at this popular but tiny joint serving what is widely acclaimed to be Palermo's best pizza. In June and July you can escape some of the crowding inside for tables out on the little side street.

The pizza Italia with tomato, mozzarella, and spinach is excellent, as is the pizza rustica, with tomatoes, spicy salami, capers, smoked scamorza cheese, and oregano.

They also do pretty good dishes for a pizza parlor, including tagliolini del contadino (with raw prosciutto, onions, carrots, celery, butter, and Worcestershire sauce) and filetto con olive nere (beef fillet covered with black olives, tomatoes, and brandy).
